A window on the golden age of the poster, a chance to rediscover modern poster art as both an advertising medium and as art.
The exhibition features works by poster artists such as Alphonse-Marie Mucha, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and Ramón Casas. The selection on display is a reflection of the modernity in Europe in 1900, at the turn of the century and in areas such as industry, culture and social life. The technical value of colour lithography is rediscovered, and there is a revival of Japanese prints in the aesthetics of advertising and art posters.
