The Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid presents an interpretation of the art of León Ferrari. His work always involved a political and social commitment, seeking to draw the interest of the general public and spark their political imagination.
León Ferrari defined his technique as “ecological art”. He meant that written visual art is made only with words, the easiest resource to renew, and which can also go through walls to spark the viewer’s imagination. Ferrari experimented with the ability to inspire emotion, to create conflicts in the act of looking, and to push the viewer to take a side in those conflicts.
