The Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum presents the first retrospective in Spain of Georgia O’Keeffe, considered one of the leading 20th-century American artists.
Through a selection of around 80 artworks, the exhibition offers a wide-ranging overview of Georgia O’Keeffe’s career and artistic universe. From pieces created in the 1910s, as a pioneer of abstract art, to her famous flower subjects and the views of New York which made her one of the leading figures in modern American painting. It also includes paintings of New Mexico, reflecting her fascination with the landscape and mixture of cultures of that state.
