Body Worlds. The Rhythm of Life

Body Worlds. The Rhythm of Life

Exhibition - Science

A fascinating insight into the human body and topics related to nutrition, physical exercise and the connection between body and mind in our accelerated rhythm of life. On show at the IFEMA exhibition centre in Madrid.

Over 200 plastinated specimens comprise this visual journey through the human anatomy. Visitors can observe plastinates of whole bodies, organs and translucent slices, as well as 3D displays and interactive elements to learn all about the human body. The space is divided into six areas that feature the various systems of the body: the nervous, cardiovascular, digestive, respiratory, locomotive and reproductive systems. In this way, visitors can explore the health and well-being of each of these systems.

Plastination is a technique invented by Dr. Gunther von Hagens for the preservation of biological material from bodies that have been donated.
