In the years before and after the First World War, the modernist painter Anglada Camarasa became one of the most international Spanish artists. This exhibition, among other initiatives, marks the 150th anniversary of his birth.
Following the donation of the artist's archive by his family, the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya is holding this exhibition to show the most outstanding elements of the donated set, such as photographs, notebooks and various documents, contextualised with the work of Anglada Camarasa from different periods. The unique collection of photographs taken at the beginning of the 20th century, often in series and which were part of his creative process, are of particular notice.
