Day 1: Arrival and prehistoric welcome
Visit to the exhibition of prehistoric tools and a hunting workshop in Arroyo de Carboneras. Experience life like our ancestors used to and learn how their day a day was.
Day 2: Cave painting route
Visit the cave of Peña Escrita and the cave of Morrón del Pino, in Sierra Quintana, at 1,200 meters high, to witness one of the best schematic cave paintings because of its quantity, themes and its state of preservation.
We will do the ascent on foot to enjoy to the max the beauty of the oak tree forests in the way. Later on, we will have lunch in Madronazos, enjoying a picnic and getting to know the town of Fuencaliente to see the area and buy typical products of the town.
Day 3: Paintings, forest and water
Rediscover the cave paintings of la Batanera, located in a hidden area in río Cereceda, known as la Chorrera de los Batanes.
Follow with us the river course while we read its flora, fauna, and landscape, as well as learning curiosities of the place and its legends, like the one of Don Quijote and its famous fight against the mills of Batán. The perfect route to end the weekend.
