Cheese from Murcia is a fresh or aged cheese made with pasteurised milk from the 'Murciana' or 'Granadina' breeds of goat.

It is cylindrical in shape and its rind is etched by the band and the cheese shelf. It is available in two sizes: the small one weighs between 300 and 600 grams and the large one between 1.2 and 1.5 kg. Its flavour is fresh, sweet and slightly salty, creamy, moist, very buttery; somewhat chewy. The inside is intense, bright white, closed, compact yet soft, without holes but with small cavities. It can be oily or extra oily. It is a cheese to be consumed immediately; usually as a dessert, accompanied especially with honey and walnuts.
