Cervera is the capital of the region of Segarra, located between the mountain pass of Les Savines and the Ondara riverbank, in the province of Lleida.

This town carries out an intense commercial and industrial activity, especially in the field of agriculture, as well as the service industry. It is also the centre of an exciting cultural and artistic life, which can be seen specially at the Stately Home of Duran i Sanpere, in the International Music Courses held here, and the traditional plays of the Passion of Christ.
