It is easy to enjoy nature in an environmentally friendly way. We want to help you to do it with outdoor activities in nature areas in inland regions in Spain. In the rivers, valleys, lakes and mountains you will find proposals for everyone, all year round. How about riding in a hot-air balloon, practising canyoning, rafting, taking a ride in a 4x4 or going on a zip line?
Extremadura
Nature trails
Discover the secrets of nature in Extremadura with routes in places such as Monfragüe National Park or the nature reserves of Cornalvo and International Tagus. You'll be able to go hiking in a setting chosen by thousands of birds travelling to Extremadura every year; you'll be able to go cycling in a large "white valley" of cherry blossom in Jerte; or you'll go on horseback through pastureland full of the famous Iberian pigs.
Natural and next to the "sea"
Did you know that you can go to the beach in Extremadura? You'll also be able to go to the first inland beach with a Blue Flag in Spain. This beach is Orellana, in Badajoz, which is part of the so-called "Lakes", together with Cija, García Sola, Zújar and Serena. A perfect place to spend hot days in this inland region in Spain.
