Adventure sports in Lleida
The towns and villages in the Catalan Pyrenees are home to unique architecture, culture and landscapes. Its churches are in the style known as the “Lombard Romanesque”, and you can also find magnificent monasteries such as the one at Ripoll. Nature areas of particular interest include the Aigüestortes y Estany de Sant Maurici National Park, and the La Garrotxa volcanic area.

In Lleida you’ll live a different thrilling adventure every day. First of all, you’ll be able to practise paragliding in the Áger and Organyá valleys. Then you can do some trekking in the Lleida section of the Pyrenees. Another day you’ll be able to follow one of the mountain bike routes, which offer at least 100 kilometres of fascinating bicycle tracks deep in the countryside. You can also try your hand at climbing up to the Terradets or Sant Llorenç de Montgai mountain passes; or go walking in the Aigüestorets and Estany de Sant Maurici National Park. There are over 150 companies specialising in adventure sports, plus more than 500 lakes, fast-flowing rivers for rafting, enormous valleys and a mountain range full of opportunities for practising numerous adventure sports such as canyoning, kayaking, hydrospeed, bungee jumping, hot air ballooning, gliding, potholing, paint-ball, windsurfing, and many more.
