A Coruña from the air
It's always a pleasure to visit the Tower of Hercules, declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO, and the beautiful bay of the city of A Coruña in Galicia in northwest Spain. But if you're offered the chance to see it all from the heights, it sounds even better.
There are two original ways to get a bird's-eye view of the city:
You can take a lift in the shape of a glassed-in sphere, which will carry you up Mount San Pedro to a height of 100 m. Once you reach the top, you'll have a unique panoramic view from the interior all over the city. Don't forget your camera so you can capture the scene.
Another option not to be missed is the experience of taking a half-hour sightseeing flight in a light aircraft from the A Coruña airport. For 30 minutes, you'll be treated to a highly original view of the Burgo estuary, Santa Cristina beach, Oza, the city centre of A Coruña and San Pedro park. As well as offering the best views of the coastline and the green landscapes which are so typical of Galicia, you'll have the chance to take the controls of the plane yourself so you can say you've made your maiden flight.
You'll find all the information on the official website of the A Coruña Tourist Board.
