The district of Centcelles is a Roman town built in the vicinity of Tarraco during the 4th century.The mausoleum is the most important Paleochristian monument in Roman Spain. Excavations have revealed remains of walls and apses, and a rectangular building of some 15 m. in length.There are two rooms inside, one with a square floor plan and another circular, with a dome roof that has mosaic remains.The mosaic represents hunting scenes, the Old Testament, and allegories of the seasons of the year.
