On the first days of August Huelva celebrates its “Columbinas” Fairs.
This event is closely linked to the discovery of America, and commemorates the departure of Christopher Columbus’s caravels towards the New World. Ibero-American culture is reflected in these traditional celebrations, with diverse dance festivals. There are also bullfights in the La Merced Bullring.
