It has 180 hectares of calcareous land and stands at an altitude of between 200 and 300 metres above sea level, sheltered by the Montserrat mountain and cooled by the Mediterranean breeze. It is a privileged area for the cultivation of grapes. The origins of the winery go back to some farmlands, the site of an inhabited lookout tower built in the 11th century: the Torre Galimany tower. This building has been modified over time, and contains Romanesque and Gothic elements. With the loss of its military and strategic importance in the 13th century, it was transformed into a stately home and farmstead.
