The April Fair is a guarantee of pure, unadulterated fun.The fairground and the marquees are always packed with people ready enjoy themselves, and the Sevillians’ friendly, party-loving nature is even more evident in these supremely festive days. It's perfectly fine to engage in conversation with strangers or spontaneously join a group of sevillana dancers. What with the music, laughter, raciones (dishes of tapas to share) and glasses of fino sherry or the typical “rebujito” (manzanilla sherry with fizzy lemonade), you’ll find time simply flies by.Drop by one of the stands selling buñuelos, a delicious sweet doughnut which is only made during the April Fair… and don’t miss the fantastic parade of horses and their riders, and the colourful horse-drawn carts. And when does the party end? It’s up to you…in the evening, late at night, or in the early hours of the morning…
Andalusia is also a land of fiestas, and horses play a central role in many of these events. You can enjoy these spectacular dancing horses at the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art in Jerez de la Frontera (Cadiz).
