It owes its name to the fact that if forms two small beaches on the same sandy ground, separated from one another by an artificial pier of large stones. The water is very calm as the entrance to the beach is protected by two big piers that at the same time define the port of Luarca, known for its significant fishing activity. It offers beautiful views of the village.
