This exhibition evokes the childhood and background of the painter Pablo Picasso in the city of his birth, Malaga.

The show revisits the period this artistic genius spent in the Andalusian city where he was born, and explores the themes related to his childhood which he would go on to develop throughout his career. The exhibition includes early works from his youth, in addition to paintings by other artists who frequented the cultural life of Malaga in the late 19th century. Also on display are various objects and documents that provide a glimpse of the background of the painter and his family, and of the Andalusian society of the day.
