The "City of A Coruña" International Folk Festival has been held since 1987 by the EIDOS Chorus and Dance Association, aiming to promote inter-cultural exchange between peoples.

The event is held during August, coinciding with the city's most emblematic festivities, the María Pita Fiestas. For five days, each participating group makes one single performance, about 20 minutes long. The programme is made up of four or five international groups and several Spanish ones.
