In the Toledo Mountains region stands the town of Navahermosa, on the slopes of the Sierra Galinda mountains.Navahermosa possesses the castle of Dos Hermanas (two sisters), an 11th-century structure built in the Visigoth style. Its name comes from an old town which came to form part of Navahermosa in the 15th century. The hermitage of San Sebastián, a church of a single nave and rectangular plan, belongs to the 17th century. A prominent feature is its roof. The hermitage of Nuestra Señora del Milagro, meanwhile, was built in the 20th century on the ruins of an old hermitage from the 17th-18th centuries. The district also has several traditional La Mancha farm houses and working houses to admire. Navahermosa is decked out with decorations during the celebration of the Pilgrimage of La Milagra (on the third Sunday in May) and for the festival of San Bartolomé (24 August). They are good occasions on which to visit this region of Toledo.
