The beach is surrounded by mountains and lush vegetation and lies next to the village of Carvallo. It is a picturesque and traditional village. The ample beach is home to various small fishing boats, and the old ladies from the village make lace whilst sitting on the granite benches. There are tiny houses scattered around the beach and close by, of course, is the village's fishing port.
