The "Casa de Campo", one of the largest green open spaces in Madrid, is the setting for the Madrid Triathlon World Cup. This event is one of the 8 that comprise the world championship in this sporting discipline, which combines swimming, cycling and running. Athletes taking part must swim 1.5 kilometres, cycle 40 kilometres and run 10.
