Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park
Mountain landscape presided by Monte Perdido.
The National Park is part of the Pyrenees and Monte Perdido National Park which was declared a World Heritage site in 1997 by the UNESCO. Since 1977, a part of the park has also been inside the Ordesa-Viñamala Biosphere Reserve.

Miljømessig informasjon: This is a high-mountain landscape with an extremely abrupt relief formed by deep canyons and raised plateaus. The extreme aridity of the upper areas contrasts with green valleys with woods and pastures, where the water forms waterfalls and rushes through canyons and gorges. The park actively takes part in the recovery of bearded vultures, with supplementary feeding areas in the Escuaín sector.
Kulturell informasjon: Its medieval history can be seen in its towns and villages in the remains of castles, shrines, houses and fortresses, which are partly preserved. In the surrounding area there are houses with architecture that is typical of this part of the region of Aragon, with sandstone roofs and stone walls.
