This is a peri-urban path that runs through the mountains and hills surrounding the Val do Fragoso, with an average altitude of 400 metres, running from east to west on the left bank of the Vigo Estuary.

It runs along a strip made up between the different mountains and valleys of the Region Vigo and forms part of the chain of gentle mountains bordered in the south by the Regions of Nigrán and Gondomar, in the east by those of Mos and Porriño and, finally, in the north by that of Redondela.
It is an ideal route to enjoy the unique beauty of Vigo and its estuary with all of its contrasts and, in turn, approach areas of historic interest (hill-forts, water mills, country houses, raised granaries, dolmens and remains of defensive walls, etc.).
Along the path, hikers can enjoy the beautiful panoramic views of the municipalities of Baiona, Nigrán and Vigo, with its extraordinary beaches, as well as the impressive natural and cultural richness of the area.On the path, walkers can enjoy a panorama rich in contrasting landscapes like few others, coasts and beaches on one hand and mountain and forest on the other, from the beaches of Samil, O Vao and the Cíe Isles to the notable masses of the Sierra of El Galiñeiro, the maximum height of which reaches 709 m.
