It is located in the historic centre of Deba and is considered a National Monument and a fine example of the style known as the Basque Gothic. It is open plan, and has three naves of equal height, a delicately proportioned polychrome portico, a cloister (the oldest in the area) and several chapels situated between the buttresses.
