Gothic church.
The Church of Santa María de la Asunción is in the Gothic style. It was built in the 13th century and its floor plan is a copy of the original model in Santo Domingo de la Calzada. It is three storeys high. The exterior of this Cantabrian church, with its flying buttresses and pinnacles, closely resembles the classic French Gothic style.
