The Benicàssim International Festival was first held in August 1995 and, throughout its history, major artists and groups from Spain and overseas have appeared on its different stages.

The event is held in the Benicàssim concert arena and for a few days it becomes the focal point for the world of alternative pop/rock and electronic music in Spain. The festival not only supports music, but also a range of other creative disciplines such as dance, theatre, sculpture and film shorts. There are also interesting courses on offer that promote cultural awareness.
