"La Cueva Pintada", or the Painted Cave, is one of the most important sites in the Canary Islands, because of its size and interest from a scientific point of view, and because it houses a unique example of aboriginal art from the Canary Islands: the Painted Cave.
One of the caves that stands out in this site is the one that gives the site its name - the Painted Cave - discovered in 1873 thanks to agricultural work. It is "decorated" with red and white paintings on a black background, with exclusively geometric motifs.
