Astoria's countryside, skiing and historic heritage

Pola de Lena is 33 kilometres from Oviedo and stands out for its rugged mountain landscape, as well as for its architectural heritage. Special mention should be made of Santa Cristina de Lena (11th century), a pre-Romanesque church, with the World Heritage designation. You should also visit the palace of the Marquis of Santa María del Carrizo, Vital Aza house, or just have a stroll around the town centre. The Valgrande-Pajares ski resort is very close by.
