This is the first village you will see if you visit Formentera - it is home to the island's port.
La Savina is 3 kilometres from Sant Francesc, the capital of Formentera. If there is one thing that characterises La Savina, it is the port, the island's only point of access. What was once little more than a small mooring area for fishing boats is now a marina with everything necessary for sailing lovers. Here you will find many tourist, fishing and recreational vessels, especially in summer. The port is also home to boats available for beautiful outings around the island. A swim at one of the island's peaceful coves and beaches is another possibility, as is the chance to enjoy the local fiestas on 16 July, in honour of the village patron saint, the Virgen del Carmen.
