Las Gordillas Convent
It was started in the 16th century, although little remains from the structures that were built at this time. It is popularly known as "Las Gordillas", a name that comes from a farm that used to be located nearby, in the outskirts or Ávila. The church was built with brick, and it has only one nave. One of the most remarkable features of the interior is the convent's choir, covered by a rib vault with tiercerons. In the high chapel we can see a great Neo-Baroque reredos. This church was declared a National Monument in 1991.
