프레젠테이션

Santiago de Compostela is easily manageable on foot –the historic centre is pedestrianised and most of the monuments are close together. You can see all the main points of tourist interest with a relaxed walk.

이동 수단

There is a city bus system that will take you conveniently from one part of the city to another. Buses usually run from 7 am-11 pm, although timetables and frequencies vary according to the route. Another option is to use a taxi: they operate at all hours of the day and night, and are white with the city crest and their licence number on the side. You can flag them down in the street when the green light is on. Otherwise they can be found at taxi ranks or you can order them by telephone using the radio taxi service. Tariffs are on display inside the taxis and include charges for flag-down, kilometres travelled and other special extras such as night service, public holidays, and train or airport services.

Which is the best option?
You can get around Santiago conveniently on foot. Nevertheless, depending on the number of journeys you want to make on public transport, you may want to buy a bus pass, given that the discount means each journey costs only €0.60.   How much does transport cost?
A one-way bus ticket costs €1 and are purchased directly from the driver, so it's advisable to carry the exact amount, or at least some coins to make it easier to change. You can also buy bus passes for 10, 20 and 30 journeys. To purchase one of these passes, besides the amount to be paid, you also have to pay a €3 deposit, refundable on return of the card.

Other ways of getting around
The Tourist Train takes you on a 45-minute trip around the sightseeing area. It costs €6 (€4 for children between 4 and 12), departs from the Praza do Obradoiro square and runs every day except in the low season, when there is only a weekend service. If you enjoy cycling, you can also rent a bike by the day or by the hour and pedal around the city; you can hire a guide for the excursion. For more information:
