It has a central nave and several side chapels. Of particular interest is an elegant apse in the Gothic transitional style ending in an overhanging eave, and a Romanesque font which saw the baptism of Santo Domingo de la Calzada, the patron saint of the town to whom one of the chapels in this church is dedicated. Another highlight is the main altarpiece dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin.
