Ceuta’s sporting coast
Puerto de Ceuta
In Ceuta, lovers of water sports will find sea bottoms teeming with life, where the waters of the Mediterranean sea and the Atlantic Ocean mingle together. This is the reasons its flora and fauna are constantly regenerating, and why its coastline is a scuba-divers’ paradise. For example, in shorter dives you'll be able to see pollack, bream, grouper and octopus, and if you go a little deeper, down to around 20 metres, you’ll find beds of king crabs and an artificial reef formed by sunken boats. You’ll even be able to see the ever-more scarce red coral if you dive to the deepest points.
Other options on offer in the sea around Ceuta –this time on the surface– include fishing, sailing in the recreational boats available at the Marina, or rowing in a kayak with views over the Royal Walls. What’s more, thanks to the climate, you can spot turtles, dolphins, and whales all year round.
