The wines and designations of origin
Ayuntamiento de Jerez
What are the wines like?: the Mediterranean temperatures and various microclimates, the scarcity of frosts and plentiful annual sunshine hours give rise to varied and quality wines. Sherry is particularly worthy of mention, with the oldest regulatory body in Spain. The grape varieties harvested are Palomino, Pedro Ximénez and Moscatel, which create naturally sweet wines. Designations of origin: From Cadiz: Jerez-Xérès-Sherry / Manzanilla-Sanlúcar. From Cordoba: Montilla-Morilés. From Malaga: Malaga / Sierras de Malaga. From Huelva: Condado de Huelva.
