Don't think twice: come and discover the Balearics by bike. This is a different, healthy way to get to know the beaches, coves, buildings, villages and culture of this Mediterranean region that attracts thousands of tourists year after year. Majorca, Minorca, Ibiza and Formentera have a whole range of signed routes and circuits that often take you to hidden, little-known spots where you will witness the most rugged, beautiful side of nature. The tracks are often old rural trails that have been recovered and re-conditioned - a real treat for the senses.

Exploring the islands by bike is easy. In many of the ports and towns there are bike hire shops open all year round so you do not have to bring your own bike along with you. Pop into the tourist offices in one of the towns, and they will give you information about routes available, their difficulty, duration, distance and itineraries. However easy and straightforward the route may be, it is always a good idea to wear appropriate clothes and footwear for cycling, take water with you, and even something to eat if the ride looks like it could be a bit longer. The tracks are well signed and many have information panels that will tell you about places of interest on the route. To avoid getting lost, it is a good idea to keep to the main tracks.

Get on your bike and discover the many treasures and gems that lie within these islands. Take your time, feel nature surrounding you, and get to know the landscapes, culture and peoples that make up one of the most beautiful places you could possibly imagine, the Balearics.
