Playing golf in Navarre is an attractive suggestion, even for those who are perhaps less enthusiastic. Besides playing on first-rate courses with the chance to enjoy other activities, you can also savour some of the finest, most varied cuisine in Spain. And that's not all. Its wine-tourism route will also introduce you to Navarre wines - which are becoming ever more prestigious - and show you how they are produced. If you like golf and and appreciate good food, then you will be interested in the Navarre “Golf & Gourmet” programme, which brings golf together with the Region's delicious gastronomy.

Close to the capital of the Region of Navarre, Pamplona, you will find various 18-hole golf courses. Just 4 kilometres from the city is the Castillo de Gorraiz Golf Club, with modern facilities that adapt to the needs of all kinds of players. If you or those you are travelling with like swimming, the centre has a 25-metre heated, indoor pool, and two further outdoor pools, ideal for a refreshing dip in summer.
From Pamplona, it is just 12 kilometres to the Señorío de Zuasti Club. This golf course is set around a 16th-century palace, and is designed to be enjoyed by all the family. Its programme of complementary activities includes entertainment for children and youngsters: from a climbing wall to cycling routes through oak woods and fun activities with the Kids' Club. Furthermore, at its hydrotherapy and beauty centre you can relax and pamper your look with the various health and beauty treatments available.
Unforgettable foods and cuisine
Another place to play golf is at the Ulzama Club, located in beautiful natural surroundings, 24 kilometres from Pamplona, where international tournaments such as the European Ladies Golf Championship have been played. After the golf, what better than to enjoy the excellent quality of Navarre gastronomy at the restaurants to be found at each course? Nevertheless, you will have even more to choose from at the hundreds of restaurants you will find in Pamplona and the other towns and villages nearby.
You will find cuisine with excellent ingredients, exquisite traditional and innovative dishes, along with delicious desserts. Above all, be sure to try the Region's famous Designation of Origin products, including asparagus, Lodosa "piquillo" peppers, Tudela lettuce hearts, beef, Roncal and Idiazábal cheese, and junket. To accompany your meal, don't forget to order a Navarre wine - the reputation of these wines is growing all the time.

Olite, Puente La Reina and Obanos, located less than 40 kilometres from Pamplona, are some of the places you will find on the route.
