Located on the Fluvía river.Passing through the towered entrance accesses the county's capital. It is believed to have been built in the 11th century on a Roman bridge and rebuilt during the 14th century. After being destroyed during the Civil War it was reconstructed again. There are two angular sections and in the centre a tower with a small arch. The bridge has eight pointed arches. Access to the town is protected by two towers joined to the wall. These fortifications are used to defend access to the town and to collect tolls.
