The Huesca Film Festival, which specialises in shorts, has been held in Huesca since 1981.

The event consists of two official sections competing in the short films genre: Ibero-American and International Short Films. The latter includes participation by the winners of the Ibero-American section. In each edition, the “Luis Buñuel” prize is awarded to the best European actor, along with the “City of Huesca” prize, which pays tribute to an established filmmaker. The event is complemented by exhibitions, children’s films and the presentation of books published by the festival organisation itself.
