In the rivers, valleys, lakes and mountains you will find proposals for everyone, all year round. Discover the secrets of nature in Extremadura with routes in places such as Monfragüe National Park or the nature reserves of Cornalvo and International Tagus. You'll be able to go hiking in a setting chosen by thousands of birds travelling to Extremadura every year; you'll be able to go cycling in a large "white valley" of cherry blossom in Jerte; or you'll go on horseback through pastureland full of the famous Iberian pigs.

Natural and next to the "sea"

Did you know that you can go to the beach in Extremadura? You'll also be able to go to the first inland beach with a Blue Flag in Spain. This beach is Orellana, in Badajoz, which is part of the so-called "Lakes", together with Cija, García Sola, Zújar and Serena. A perfect place to spend hot days in this inland region in Spain.

Practical tips

In the nature trails link you can find accommodation and restaurants to taste typical local gastronomy.
The Lakes are a good option for summer. Don't forget your swimwear and sun cream!
In the reservoirs and the surrounding areas you'll find many restaurants and leisure options.
