Castile-León
If you like watching birds in their natural habitat, in Castile-León you'll have a wonderful time on its over 500 kilometres of signposted birdwatching routes. What's more, about 250 rural accommodation units have people available who are trained in ornithology and offer practical information on the area and on the birds you'll find. You only have to choose where you want to stay, and then prepare to see some of the typical species in the region, including the black stork, the griffon vulture, the red kite, the Egyptian vulture, the black vulture, the wallcreeper... in spectacular settings such as the Picos de Europa National Park .
Practical tips
When reserving accommodation, we recommend you visit the websites of all the local companies that organise activities related to birdwatching. You'll also find them on the link for the TRINO project.
On the website www.birdwatchinspain.com you can download routes, and in some cases augmented reality applications for the mobile.
You must avoid disturbing the birds, and always keep to the signposted areas.
