This mediaeval bridge over the Arga River gives its name to the town. Known as La Rabia Bridge, it was until recently the site of an unusual tradition: the animals were obliged to pass under its central pillar to avoid rabies (“la rabia” in Spanish), as according to legend it possesses supernatural powers.
