According to the legend of Doña Urraca, she was locked up in the tower of the Palace of Fernán González. Built in the 10th century.For defence purposes.It has a rectangular floor plan and a pyramidal elevation.In the entrance there is a horseshoe arch that leads out into an enclosure with barrel vault on imposts. The outside of the tower is smooth and crowned by look-out posts.The roof has four slopes instead of being crenelated.
