The oldest church in the town of Alicante.Built on the site of a mosque.Built in the XIII century in Gothic style.After a fire in the XV century it had to be rebuilt.The façade is entirely Baroque. The main front is noteworthy with an image of the Virgin by the sculptor Juan Bautista Borja. Inside of note is the Rococo, high alter and the Bautismo chapels, of the Inmaculada and Comunión. In the Chapter House there is an enormous marble font by Carrara.
