A sober square.
It was intended to create a large market area for Alcaraz.
The Plaza Mayor in Alcaraz was built in the 16th century. It is rectangular in shape, with sober decoration. It is surrounded by buildings symbolic of the city, like the Chief Magistrate's Exchange, the 'Aholí', the 'Regatería' and the towers of 'La Trinidad' and 'El Tardón'.
