This is the city's main park. It has romantic inspiration and is home to a splendid array of trees.
Work began on its construction in 1907. Since then, the park has evolved and regenerated, always maintaining its charm. Amongst other things, it has a majestic lake with ducks, surrounded by wharfs with rowing boats, a classical-style merry-go-round, a cybernetic fountain, a stage for shows and also the terrace of the Fine Arts Museum. It also has a sculpture by Eduardo Chillida and other monuments in tribute to various personages.
