Castellón-Castelló

A Mediterranean climate, coastal atmosphere… Castellón de la Plana on the east coast of Spain is a town that invites you to stroll, relax and rest. On a gentle walk through the old town, you will discover the main monuments in the historic quarter, such as the City Hall, Fadri Tower and the Cathedral. If you leave the Plaza Mayor (main square) and head down Calle Caballeros, you will come to the pedestrianised area of Castellón, which boasts handsome buildings such as the Lonja (exchange), main theatre and post office (Correos).

The romantic gardens in the Ribalta Park are a must. Amidst the shady trees and Baroque-style benches, you will discover statues of famous Spanish musicians such as Albéniz and Falla, as well as an exquisite bandstand. You can also take a walk along the lovely avenue that leads to the port of Castellón de la Plana. A gentle four-kilometre stroll will take you to the tourist area of El Grao, next to the large Pinar Beach.
