It is situated next to the Cala del Moral stream, in a built-up area. This beach stretches out to La Cala Mijas Beach, and they are connected by the same sandy area. There are different ways to get to the beach, and the names of the different areas are determined by the housing developments on the seafront: Torrenueva, La Butibamba and La Cala Mijas. Underwater fishing can be practised in the area.
