Cáceres has been hosting this event since 2001. It is held at the San Jorge Exhibition Centre in the very heart of the city, whose Old Town and monuments have the UNESCO World Heritage designation.

The fair also presents art throughout the city and is seen as Spain’s second contemporary art fair, after ARCO. Its main aims include promoting knowledge and understanding of contemporary art, strengthening the art market and encouraging collecting. All with the presence of young artists and consolidated galleries, from Spain as well as Portugal and Latin America.
