Located in Alt Empordà, only 160 km away from Barcelona, and 15 km away from the border with France, the village of Llançá has become a popular holiday destination for those seeking peace and quiet.
The town is also remarkable because of its historic-artistic heritage, of which we must point out the chapel of Sant Silvestre de Valleta and the chapel of Terrer (11th century); the defensive belltower at the main square, or Plaza Mayor (14th century); and the parish church of San Vicenç, from the middle of the 18th century. Also, we must mention the Watercolour Museum & J. Martínez Lozano Foundation, the only one of its kind in the whole of Spain. The town also has a great number of small, beautiful coves, and enjoys a privileged location, with excellent connections by railway and motorway.
