The Green Spain brand will launch new tourist products

The four communities that form the Green Spain brand (Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria and the Basque Country) and the Spanish Tourism Institute (Turespaña) have signed a framework partnership agreement to develop joint marketing actions together from now until 2015. New features include the new tourist slogan ‘Green Spain. The spirit of the North’ and the creation of new products, the first of which is ‘Palaces and Wineries’. In this way, the aim of Green Spain is to introduce itself in international markets with campaigns that emphasise its geographical location in the north and highlight a different way of life and culture. The campaigns will focus on typical features of the north such as architecture, the landscape and gastronomy, among others, as well as tourist products connected to the traditions and culture of Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria and the Basque Country. Germany, France, the United Kingdom and other source countries recommended by Turespaña such as the United States are, in principal, the markets that the promotional acts will be aimed at. In 2013, familiarization trips were made with journalists and tour operators from Miami and Los Angeles to promote two star products: The Transcantábrico and the Camino Norte de Santiago.
